Project Description
The work consisted of:
- Grading and cleanup of 40-acre site around new mill building and infrastructures, conveyors and crushers
- Grading and surfacing of all access roads, parking areas and main roadways around the mill, staging office and shop areas, including the main mine access road
- Removal to waste of old mill stockpile material of 20,000m3 and re-grading of 4 acre site for a marshalling yard and mill parking
- Design and construction of a 200m long x 5m high, 200+ lock block retaining wall structure to protect the mill infrastructure and operating personnel from the falling rock of the new mill stockpile
- On-site material handling and snow removal support for the 2012/2013 winter season
